I'm Mike Carthew, founder of Level Recruitment. I set up Level to do one thing well: find the client-side people who deliver power infrastructure projects, from battery storage and solar to grid and data centre power.

I started my career as a construction project manager at Davis Langdon (now AECOM), working on environmental impact assessments, public consultations, planning and project team coordination.

More recently I've run a biodiversity education business aimed at developers. Through this I delivered CPD (continuing professional development) to architecture practices on innovating in biodiversity and green infrastructure. I know how much a project depends on the people running it, from consent through to delivery. That's why Level focuses on finding the best.

Why Level

How I work
You deal with me from the first call to the start date. I speak to every candidate before they reach you, send refined shortlists with honest notes, and tell you straight if a candidate has any shortcomings.

I'm based in Cornwall and work with clients and candidates across the UK.
